GARY S. BEKKUM

Read Brian Roy's Interview with Gary S. Bekkum

Founder of STARstream Research and contributing writer.

"Am I an advocate of preparation for contact with advanced higher intelligence? Yes and no. The human race needs to be prepared because it is a big multiverse out there. The larger dangers we face are already here."

Futurist Gary S. Bekkum is an independent occasional "rogue journalist," author, and a researcher of material that blurs the distinction between fiction and reality.

In 2004 Bekkum launched STARstream Research, as an informal survey of exotic physics and consciousness concepts related to the survival or otherwise of the human race.

Bekkum is an independent 'occasional' rogue journalist & web author, and researcher of material that blurs the distinction between fiction and reality. He has been interviewed on national radio by Coast to Coast AM hosts George Noory and George Knapp, in addition to several interviews by Don Ecker at Dark Matters Radio and Angelia Joiner on The Joiner Report. Bekkum has been cited in books by physicists Jack Sarfatti and Shan Gao (Beijing, China).

He is the author of several books including "Spies, Lies and Polygraph Tape," "Knowing the Future: The UFO Spy Games," "To the Moon and Back, With Love," and the forthcoming "Quantum of Strangeness"  (see the Gary S. Bekkum author page at Amazon Books for book details).

A few years ago Bekkum semi-covertly provided behind the scenes information to British author Nick Cook, the former aviation editor and presently Aerospace Consultant for Jane's Defence Weekly. Given that only a small amount of that material made its way into Nick's book, "The Hunt for Zero Point" , Bekkum decided to write a follow up article called "Dark Matters Surround Dark Energy." The Russian on-line newspaper Pravda decided to publish this story as "American military is pursuing new types of exotic weapons."

Several of Bekkum's stories featured at STARpod.org have been re-published elsewhere, including "To the Moon and Back, With Love" which appears at the on-line Paktribune of Pakistan, and at psychic Uri Geller's website. Sometimes they are published with credit given to STARstream Research, like this story at Geller's siteBekkum's stories have been republished or adapted for American Chronicle, an on-line family of new services.

DON ECKER

Don Ecker is a writer/researcher/commentator currently living in the Los Angeles area.

Serving as the former Director of Research and Media Liaison for UFO Magazine for 20 years, Ecker is an internationally renowned investigator of the UFO phenomenon.

A former law enforcement officer and criminal
investigator with over 10 years experience, he brought legitimacy to a field that has for years suffered being painted with a fringe brush. He has written numerous articles for the definitive UFO publication, UFO Magazine, as well as articles for international publications, the United Kingdom's Fortean Times, Omni, the Compuserve System, and the ParaNet Computer Data Base.

Don Ecker became interested in the UFO question in 1966, when along with several other people he was witness to a sighting of the enigma. "It was unlike anything I had ever seen before, and I realized then that there was much more to this than the authorities were letting on."

After graduating from high school in 1968, Ecker attended college for one year and then enlisted in the United States Army. He was selected for the elite Army Security Agency, where he volunteered for Special Operations. He served in Southeast Asia for 26 months, was wounded twice, decorated and then returned to the U.S. He returned to college for another year, then applied to his home town police department, where he became a officer.

In 1986, while a member of his department's SWAT Team, Ecker was wounded, which led to his retirement. While recuperating, he started to research and write on the UFO mystery. As a criminal investigator in 1982, he had been leading an investigation in of several cattle mutilations, which Ecker later discovered where somehow connected to the UFO mystery. In 1989, during the International MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) Conference in Las Vegas, Ecker presented a paper on his research.

Ecker has appeared numerous times on the "Larry King Live" talk show on CNN, and has been utilized repeatedly as an expert commentator and technical adviser by NBC's "Hard Copy," Fox's "A Current Affair," and recently was the technical adviser and on-screen expert for the Fox Television "Sightings" program and "Encounters."

He has also appeared on CNBC's "Talk America", and the Sci-Fi Channel's "Antigravity Room" and Discovery Channel's "Cyberlife."  During the Roswell Anniversary he was interviewed on "Entertainment Tonight" and "Extra." Ecker was a featured speaker at Nevada's dedication of the Extraterrestrial Highway during the premier of "Independence Day", the summer blockbuster of 1996.

Ecker hosted his own weekly national radio talk show, "UFOs Tonite!" on Cable Radio Network for five years, and most recently "Strange Daze" five nights a week on the Liberty Works Radio Network. Starting in January, 2004, Ecker and his good friend Dwight Schultz launched a new national radio program called" Dark Matters." Ecker has been a guest on well over a thousand radio talk shows around the country.

Ecker brings important historical knowledge to the study of the phenomenon. As he has stated, "The case for a conspiracy of silence is there for all to see. All one has to do is to look to the history of the U.S. Government and UFOs. The government, and more specifically the U.S. Military, has always been aware of this mystery and the potential danger and promise it might represent. We as citizens have a right to know what is occurring, and what if anything our government is doing about this enigma."

Ecker is true to his word and ideas. In 1991, he broke one of the biggest UFO stories of the year. Investigating the 1988 Soviet unmanned probes to Mars, Phobos I and II, Ecker uncovered an amazing story of the Phobos II's apparent encounter with a huge unknown and the probe's ultimate disappearance. He was able to secure a photograph of the unknown from the Soviet Glavkosmos Space Agency. He was asked to appear on NBC's "Hard Copy" and Live CNN's "Larry King" to talk about this incident where he revealed the photograph for the first time.

In 1992, Ecker once again broke one of the biggest UFO stories of the year. Breaking it once again on "Hard Copy" and then following it up on "Larry King Live," Ecker brought to public attention the amazing story of STS-48, the Discovery shuttle mission photographing UFO enigmas in earth orbit, and the drastic maneuvers the unknowns took when "something" appeared to shoot at them.

Ecker recently completed a novel titled Past Sins published by Gateway Publishing. The novel is currently under consideration by a major production house for a movie or television series. More can be learned at http://www.amazon.com/Past-Sins-Don-Ecker/dp/0975264508

Ecker has revived his radio program “Dark Matters Radio” on the CyberstationUSA Network where it airs 5 nights a week Monday via Friday where he explores the unusual, the strange and the bizarre. For more information go to www.darkmattersradio.com

This is a record of SPY GAMES -- PLAYED INSIDE THE UFO MYSTERY, AND ON THE INTERNET -- as it happened.

From the world of psychic spies, paranormal goat killers, and Skinwalkers haunting remote regions of Utah, something wicked and wacky this way comes. Drawn from the files of the private intelligence source STARstream Research: A real-life tall-tale of espionage. At the core, a confrontation at CIA HQ between a former CIA official and officers of the United States Air Force. Twenty years later, the game continues where disturbing worlds collide. The heart of the matter: a US Government UFO Working Group, dark secrets kept in the shadows under the guise of counter-intelligence operations of the United States Air Force, and decades-old rumors of extraterrestrial contact with "something not of this world." The Official's concern: hidden within tales of "Real Life X-Files" a potentially dangerous viral marketing scheme, possibly intended to elicit real classified information from past and present intelligence officers.

Stranger still, government files prove that the US government spent decades exploring the paranormal psychic spying, in an effort to "know the future" and beat the Russians, in a race to obtain technologies from beyond our world.

This book is a collection of articles and materials originally published on-line by STARstream Research, PR Web, and The American Chronicle, and at the "Spies, Lies, and Polygraph Tape" blog. This is the first time they have been made available in print. Included in this volume is the popular article "To the Moon and Back, With Love," the story of CIA psychic Ingo Swann's extraterrestrial encounters.

Also included in this volume: The sixteen part mini-book "Knowing the Future: CIA, 9/11, UFOs, and the Extraterrestrial Presence," about the race to obtain "alien" technologies.
