SSR: Beginning in August 2006, Starstream
Research is examining the possibility that the human
race is under the influence of otherworldly
intelligence. The series will be titled, "Invasion:
Earth?" One of the biggest questions that always seems
to fire up the most controversy is about the nature of
the kind of beings that might pose a threat to the human
race. On the one hand there are those who say that UFOs
represent EBEs, extraterrestrial biological entities,
beings not unlike intelligent life here on Earth that
have used advanced technology to visit our planet.
Others refer to ultra-terrestrials, or UTs, that have
god-like powers to shape and control space and time. In
your novel you write about the return of the dark
angelic forces, from a Biblical perspective. I am
wondering what inspired you to write about UFOs and
connect them to Biblical prophecy?
Terry James: First, and foremost, I believe that
the Bible is literally the Word of God to His creation
called man. Everything I do, therefore, grows from this
belief matrix. Unless God’s word tells us that the
particular thing referred to is symbolic, allegorical,
or to be spiritualized (i.e., a spiritual concept rather
than physical or literal). I presume it to be literal.
For example, in Rev. 8:8 "And the second angel sounded,
and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was
cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became
blood…" There, John tells us "as it were". This means it
is not an actual mountain, but "like" an actual
mountain. Bible prophecy always lets us know if
something is not to be considered in a literal sense.
And, almost always, if something is used symbolically,
it represents a matter that is even more literally
existent than the thing symbolically presented. I.e.,
human language can’t fully encompass its magnitude.
I say all that to say that in Genesis, Chapter 6, the
Bible tells us that the sons of God (Benai Elohim in
Hebrew –angels who rebelled) came into (had sexual
intercourse with) the daughters of men (human beings).
This literally happened. I believe the Bible to be the
absolute Word of God, remember…
So, The fallen angels (a number of them) saw and lusted
after human women. They had sex with them, and from the
unions were produced Nephilim, or "giants" (both
physical and supernatural, apparently). This is most
likely the source from which some of the legends of the
Titans, such as Hercules, and the greater gods of Greek,
Norse, and Roman mythologies came.
Now we come forward to Jesus’ time on earth as the
God-man come to earth to teach, perform miracles, and
die on the cross as the one and only Sacrifice for the
Sin of mankind –which came into the world at the fall in
Eden.
Jesus said as recorded in Luke 17:26 "And as it was
in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of
the Son of man."
Jesus –God, Himself—said things just like those that
happened in those pre-flood times would recur at the
time of His return to earth (which includes the entire
"day" of His coming). This means from the time of the
Rapture of the Church, through His Second Advent as
presented in Rev. 19: 11.
Fallen angels –(Benai Elohim) will again interject
themselves into human affairs in the same manner they
did in those antediluvian days. This is what I believe
we are seeing –and will see in greater profusion in the
future—with the UFOs, the abduction reports, the
visitations, etc.
SSR: Starstream Research maintains contact
with several government insiders, and their proxies. I
can tell you that there are some pretty strange ideas
out there, and that the government has explored the
paranormal for years. The most well known program was
initiated by the CIA and later moved to the various
services and the Defense Intelligence Agency. When the
program was partially declassified it was known as STAR
GATE. One of our contacts in the private sector, an
eschatologist in close contact with government
consultants and officers still interested in
phenomenology, actually suggested that we tell you that
Starstream Research was "an outreach front for an
insider group connected with national security and
phenomenology," and that "Terry should be interviewing
us."
Terry James: Fascinating, as Mr. Spock might say.
And, I really mean that. If I do a non-fiction on the
subject, I will attempt to interview them. And, even
with the fiction it would be a good idea.
SSR: How close to reality do you think things
are in the novel?
Terry James: Very close. I base that on
everything else that is happening eschatologically.
Israel at the center of world-wide controversy
(Zechariah 12: 1-3 in the making); the EU at the heart
of the geographical area that made up the Roman Empire
(Daniel 9: 26-27 Antichrist’s power base?); A peace
process involving Israel that will eventuate in the
deadly, false peace of Daniel 9: 26-27, (forewarned
about in Isaiah 28: 15, 18); Russia and all of the
nations and geographical region mentioned in Ezekiel
chapters 38-39 coalescing in opposition to Israel to the
North (possibly Gog-Magog force?); China as the possible
king of the "kings of the east" (Rev 9: 16 / Rev. 16:
12) –these and many other prophetic signals I believe
are prevalent in this generation.
The things involving Jesus’ prophecy about things being
like it was in the days of Noah –(the Benai Elohim) most
certainly appear to be in the end of days mix. Their
influence in the governmental, societal, and
scientific/technological areas of our world are, in my
view, well underway, and have been even since the
Apostle Paul’s day.
He wrote –under inspiration of God:
Ephesians 6:12 "For we wrestle not
against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of
this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places."
Very close, indeed.
SSR: In your story, government officials
are possessed by fallen angels in exchange for technical
assistance, the reverse engineering of alien technology.
Obviously the military is always looking for the next
major technical advantage, and once found will tightly
protect it. Do you think there is a conspiracy -- the
government, or someone, covering up the truth about the
UFO's, etc?
Terry James: At the risk of sounding like a
conspiracy kook, I must answer yes – to some
extent. This based, again, on Ephesians 6: 12 above.
God’s Word says this struggle is supernatural –and that
is even more literal than simply a physical reality.
These interlopers are eternal –according to God. They
will never die, or be destroyed, even when cast in the
lake of fire in their ultimate fate.
So, believing God’s Word as absolute Truth, I have to
believe they are presently intertwining themselves with
government and science in clandestine, dark project
areas. How aware governmental officials –in the black,
covert regions, or other—are in these things, I wouldn’t
conjecture. But, someone, somewhere, has to know
something is beyond what we consider normal.
SSR: One of the first things you learn from
investigating the government's efforts in tracking
strange phenomenology, like UFOs and ESP, is that the
truth is almost always stranger than any fiction you can
imagine. I am wondering if you had any personal
experiences that inspired your story?
Terry James: No. Unless you consider my belief
that God sparked the idea that it’s time to do something
on the topic. I don’t mean that I was inspired in the
same, miraculous way prophets or other writers/speakers
of the Old and New Testaments were given inspiration
(through visions, dreams, etc). But, God does give His
children ideas from His Mind, and expects us to do
something with them. In that sense, I guess one might
say I had the experience of having been given visceral
understanding that these things are here, and they are
again moving among us as in the days of Noah. –i.e.,
literally wanting to again mix with the "seed" of
mankind.
SSR: Starstream Research recently ran a
story about Ingo Swann, a psychic consultant who worked
with the military to train their psychic spies. Swann
claims that he was taken by a black ops UFO group to
observe a UFO in northern Alaska. He describes an object
that appears as if from nowhere out of a fog illuminated
by colored lightning bolts. Swann says the object
appeared to grow in size and then began to shoot beams
into the woods. Some of his description fits the classic
nuts and bolts UFO alien hardware, but there is also the
impression that the object emerged from another
dimension before manifesting here in our world. If you
don't think these UFO sightings, etc. involve
extraterrestrials, what are they then?
Terry James: I’ve already answered this above,
I think. They are interdimensionals – specifically,
angels that fell with Lucifer in his original rebellion
in Heaven.
SSR: How can we distinguish between really
advanced, amazingly advanced beings, biological or
computer, and angels?
Terry James: That might be the satanic
seduction most difficult to discern. That’s why it is
essential for humans to be close to God. He provides
Spiritual Insight. He’s the only One Who can. God, the
Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity.
One gets this ability to discern by accepting Jesus
Christ –God’s only Son, Who is the Second Person of the
Trinity—as Savior from sin. Otherwise, discernment
–understanding of such things –in my view (which I
believe is the Bible’s View) is not fully possible.
The scripture from 1 Corinthians tells us:
2:10 But God hath revealed them
unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all
things, yea, the deep things of God.
2:11 For what man knoweth the
things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him?
Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit
of God.
2:12 Now we have received, not
the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God;
that we might know the things that are freely given to
us of God.
2:13 Which things also we
speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual
things with spiritual.
2:14 But the natural man
receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they
are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them,
because they are spiritually discerned.
SSR: Do you believe these beings --
whatever or whomever they are -- are about to invade
Planet Earth?
Terry James: They have long ago invaded earth.
They have never left since they left their "first
estate" Heaven. Read Jude 6-7. But, they are scheduled
to step up their demonic activity exponentially during
the Tribulation era (last 7 years of human history
before Christ’s Second Advent).
SSR: One group of former and present
government types interested in the UFO question is known
as The AVIARY. Part of the legend involves what is
called the "core story" about contact with otherworldly
beings. One of the rumors surrounding the core story
involves a "disturbing message" that was given to our
government. I have seen emails that state that the
former Director of Central Intelligence, Richard Helms,
was familiar with the "core story" and confirmed to a
well-placed government consultant that it was the same
story heard by members of The AVIARY. There has been a
lot of speculation about the content of the message, and
I'm wondering if you have any thoughts about what might
be so disturbing that the government keeps it away from
those without a need to know, including heads of
intelligence and the President?
Terry James: One never knows when such stories
are factual, or if they are –to exactly what degree. I
presume that if Satan, the most brilliant of all
diabolist generals, is leading his forces amongst the
clandestine operations within governments, he would
delude the human element within the operations into
believing they were privy to things that are above
average citizens to know. And, they would have to kill
us, if they told us.
SSR: You use some real, historical
characters in your novel. For example, President Lyndon
B. Johnson, Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara, Dr.
Edward Teller, the famous physicist and inventor of the
H-bomb. How did you determine to use them? Do you
believe, or not, that some of these things really might
have happened, regarding these historical personalities?
Are there modern day figures that might play a part in
your future efforts?
Terry James: I was quite familiar with the
things going on –so far as the U.S. Air Force was
concerned, during the period I used as the nucleus of my
story in the novel. LBJ, McNamara, etc., were in the
positions of power at the time. Teller was perhaps the
key dark, Strangelovian figure of science within that
era –Einstein, Oppenheimer, etc., having passed from the
scene.
For example, I was stationed at Randolph AFB near San
Antonio for more than 3 years during my enlistment. LBJ
flew into that base in Air Force One at least once a
month, to then take a smaller plane to Bergstrom AFB
near the Johnson Ranch. A guy’s mind can run wild with
such memory fuel!
Yes, I believe that both Johnson and McNamara would want
to know about these things. But General Lucifer would be
quite clever in keeping them from full knowledge. And
someone like Teller would almost certainly be used by
the minions to operate in the physical world, as liaison
between that realm, and whatever other.
Yes, I’m working on the second of the series now. I have
already, and will use other real people of this late
generation of government and scientific people in a
fictional way. The next will be titled "The Rapture
Imperative: Dark Sentences".
SSR: Recently the Air Force commissioned a
research paper from Dr. Eric Davis to review the nascent
scientific field of quantum teleportation and spacetime
wormholes. We are a long way off from developing
teleportation as a real technology, but you write about
a similar technology in your book called RAPTURE. What
is the acronym's meaning?
Terry James: R.A.P.T.U.R.E. This is Rapid
Atomic Particle Trans-molecular Unification Reassembly
Energizer. (Like on the Starship Enterprise, of course
–the Tele-transporter).
Are you sure it’s a long way off? –Maybe so…
But, of course, it’s a particle physics technology idea
in acronym form that is meant to make the linkage to the
great Prophetic Event we believe the Apostle Paul wrote
about in 1 Cor. 15: 50-55 and 1 Thes. 4: 13-18. This is
the Rapture of the Church (The Church being defined as
all born-again believers in Jesus Christ).
This was the key theme of my friend Tim LaHaye, and
Jerry Jenkins series of novels -- "Left Behind."
SSR: In his paper Dr. Davis also discusses
research in China using human paranormal teleportation.
Do you believe that this kind of paranormal effect is
real?
Terry James: That is in the area of astral
projection, and remote viewing, etc. I believe these to
be deluding mind-tricks by demonic activity, not
something sanctioned by God. I do believe, however, that
the nearer we come to Christ’s Second Coming, Satan and
his minions will have increasingly powerful influence to
delude.
SSR: Nick Bostrom is a heavy-weight
world-class philosopher at Oxford. In recent years
Bostrom has stirred up quite a lot of controversy by
arguing that human beings might be living in a
'simulated universe'; in other words, what we call
reality is the creation of a higher intelligence, and we
are the
creations of that same intelligence.
In his
popular paper Bostrom writes, "An afterlife would,
of course, be a real possibility for a simulated
creature (who could either be continued in a different
simulation after her death or even be "uploaded" into
the simulator's universe and perhaps be provided with an
artificial body there). Your fate in that afterlife
could be made to depend on how you behaved in your
present simulated incarnation ... If we are in a
simulation, is it possible that we could know that for
certain? If the simulators don't want us to find out, we
probably never will. But if they choose to reveal
themselves, they could certainly do so. Maybe a window
informing you of the fact would pop up in front of you,
or maybe they would "upload" you into their world."
The Rapture is also a prophetic belief
that you share with others who have written fiction
recently. For example, Tim LaHaye, co-author of the 65
million selling "Left Behind" series, who has given a
strong endorsement to "The Rapture Dialogues." How does
the technology -- RAPTURE -- mesh with the 'Rapture,'
the prophetic belief?
Terry James: When millions disappear in the
Rapture (based upon the prophecy by Paul mentioned
above,) the world will be frantic, searching for
answers.
Another prophecy – 2 Thes. 2: 11-12 foretells that God
will allow a great delusion to fall upon the minds of
those whom didn’t believe in Christ for Salvation before
this event (the Rapture). This will be during the
Tribulation era –the Apocalypse found in Revelation,
Chapters 6-19.
This "delusion" will be a great lie the Antichrist and
his regime of horror will perpetrate upon the world
(read Rev. Chapter 13).
The "delusion," many –including yours truly—believe will
be part of the lie about what has happened to those whom
disappeared by the millions.
Part of this lie will be that the catastrophe was due to
the intervention of "space brothers," or some other such
term. These people were removed –perhaps the story will
go—because of their unbelief in the tenets of humanism
–that Mankind can solve its own problems. Antichrist, of
course, will have the answers, being the ultimately
evolved man.
Later he (Antichrist) stands in the Temple, declaring
Himself to be God, and demanding worship. This is found
in 2 Thes chapter 2, and Rev. chapter 13.
The RAPTURE technology might be explained (in the sense
of my fiction) as the instrument that removed these
millions. Or, the disappearance might be explained as
this technology causing some great particle physics
accident – creating a watershed event that produces –at
long last-- a quantum leap into Aquarius, or some such
nonsense.
As you see, my mind is still fuzzy on how I plan to
use the fictional technology as the story continues…
SSR: Technology always seems to be a
two-edged sword. In "The Book of Genesis," the fall of
mankind comes about with the knowledge of good and evil.
Technology has brought about many advances that have
improved our lives, yet major scientists, like Sir
Martin Rees, are warning that the negative side of
technology may bring about the end of mankind. What are
your thoughts about how to best use technology and avoid
the consequences of the ever-growing potential for
misuse?
Terry James: Again, the Bible has the
appropriate answers –including the answer to avoiding
the misuse of the technology God has allowed mankind to
develop.
Pro 9:10: The fear of the
LORD [is] the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of
the holy [is] understanding.
If a person is tapped into God’s Wisdom through a
personal belief in His Son, Jesus Christ, understanding
of how to avoid potentially deadly consequences are
spiritually visceral.
SSR: "The Rapture Dialogues" moves quickly
from scene to scene, and would be easily translated to
film or television. I am wondering if there are any
plans to adapt your novel for the big or small screen?
Terry James: I’ve been told it has the swift
movement of film. That certainly would be something I
would enjoy having done with the novel. I would love to
talk with someone interested in such a project.
SSR: The novel ends in a cliffhanger that
begs a sequel. Do you plan other novels or a series on
this theme?
Terry James: As I answered above, I’m working
on the second of what I hope will be 3 novels in the
series. The second I give the tentative title: "The
Rapture Imperative: Dark Sentences," and the third "The
Rapture Protocols: Dark Days."
SSR: I wonder if there is anything else you
might wish to add for the benefit of our readers?
Terry James: The most important things to
watch, prophetically speaking, are developments
surrounding the nation Israel. Therein lies the most
profound signal of where this generation might stand on
God’s Prophetic Timeline. The Rapture Dialogues: Dark
Dimension deals with the same dark spiritual forces (of
Ephesians 6: 11-12) that are involved in fomenting the
hatred against that nation.
I’m quite gratified that the novel has received more
than eighty-five, five star reviews on amazon.com. And
those reviews come from all over the nation as well as a
number of foreign nations.
