Massive 8.8 Earthquake Strikes Chile

A massive Earthquake, hundreds of times more powerful than the quake that devastated Haiti earlier this year, struck Chile on Saturday.

Unlike the Haitian earthquake, STARstream Research did not receive any psychic anomalous mental phenomena reports in advance of the disaster.

The current death toll has been reported to be near seven-hundred.

Based upon the lack of an intense psychic disturbance -- which had been reported a few days prior to the disaster in Haiti -- we are hopeful that the numbers of dead and seriously injured will be considerably lower than the Haitian death toll, which remains in the hundreds of thousands.

The 8.8 earthquake in Chile released roughly 500 times more energy than the Haitian quake.

This suggests that mass event psychic disturbances are triggered by empathic human response to extreme personally experienced physical trauma, and not by the events themselves.

A tsunami wave was detected, and warnings were issued on Saturday for the Pacific rim.

Powerful aftershocks continue to disturb the population.
