UPDATED AND CORRECTED WITH NEW INFORMATION 05/22/2010 10:22 PM CDT

(STARpod.org) -- As you might imagine, we (that is, contributors to STARstream Research) tend to attract some very odd persons, places, and things.

It's largely a consequence of our open-source investigation of futuristic technology intersecting the darker, hidden worlds of the subconscious mind, with a healthy dose of cloak and dagger provided by our friends in the Intelligence Community.

And, it would seem, you should never underestimate the potentially explosive power of this intersection. As Dan Smith wrote, once upon a time, concerning his CIA friend Ron Pandolfi, to another person in the I.C.:

"The situation with Ron is he has handed me my fair share of glycerol. In addition, he points to you as the fellow with the nitrate. He is leaving it up to me to perform the final synthesis."

Mr. Smith understands the situation quite clearly: The role of a cut-out asset is to insulate the source from the resulting explosive residue.

We enter our way-back machine and set the dial to 2006, a year which, in hindsight, appears to have been the turning point into our present situation.

At issue, the bizarre allegations of Laura Magdalene Eisenhower (not her real name, but the identity she has chosen to present publicly as the great-granddaughter of President Dwight D. Eisenhower) concerning an "extraterrestrial affair" and a secret Mars Project.

[Correction: Ms. Mahon provided us with a copy of her ID and her name is listed as Laura Bradshaw Eisenhower Mahon.]

ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW

At the core of her allegations: a man she originally identified as "Agent X," from Raleigh, North Carolina.

In a statement provided to our source, "Agent X" revealed his identity as Richard Dell.

Not unexpectedly, this too has been a combination of nitrate and glycerol, with the resulting explosion degrading into personal attacks of character, amidst more sensitive issues of confidence and proprietary efforts related to aerospace technology.

As a case example, it would be a nearly perfect allegory for why technology and new age mysticism mix as well as the above ingredients.

To further complicate the situation, at least from our end, we  (that is, contributors to STARstream Research) have had our own dealings with "Agent X" on various levels, so it is necessary to state for the record that we cannot be considered impartial by any stretch of the imagination.

However, it remains a fact that our acknowledgement of this situation did indeed provide, at a minimum, the burning fuse to the above mentioned explosion.

We must, therefore, take full responsibility for our actions.

Indeed, this small affair rapidly threatens to divide those of us here  (that is, contributors to STARstream Research),  and others, acting behind the scenes (that is, our friends and associates upon whom we rely and without whom we could not exist).

At hand: a deep, dark affair; hidden inside an enigma; wrapped in a mystery; contained by an object of desire; held within a black box world.

When this black box is subjected to an explosion; it is not surprising that pieces have suddenly been discovered lying on ground truth.

To that end, I must explain why there is a ground truth -- at the risk of established protocols and confidences -- behind the tale told by Ms. Eisenhower.

For the story about Ms. Eisenhower's Internet expose' and allegations, see our original report here.

Fans of classic film are aware that the title of this article is a play on Stanley Kubrick's classic dark comedy Dr. Strangelove: Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the bomb.

I have chosen this play on the title for a reason: rather than being explicit about this connection to the events at hand, I will leave it to the reader to discern the further implications of this sordid affair, and proceed to establish ground truth, as it was observed from our point of view.

Retrieving and reviewing roughly 200 pages from the "unusable" file collection, consulting with a couple of key sources who personally interacted with "Agent X," and having contacted Ms. Eisenhower (Ms. Mahon) by email (which is actually my preferred method for such matters), I am now prepared to provide a small core base of information related to her allegations.

On Friday, March 12, 2010, I was forwarded a statement allegedly made by "Agent X," aka Richard Dell,  from a key STARstream Research contributor who had personally interacted with "Agent X."

Minus numerous personal attacks against the character of Ms. Eisenhower, here is the essence of that statement:

(For those inclined to know more about Mr. Dell, aka "Agent X" and other, un-vetted and potentially salacious background, see the various Internet forum discussion groups. However, and this is quoting "Agent X" from his statement, "Caveat Emptor," wise advice for anyone willing to tread into this territory.)

Ms. Eisenhower's real name is Laura Mahon.

[Correction: Ms. Mahon provided us with a copy of her ID and her name is listed as Laura Bradshaw Eisenhower Mahon.]

The events of concern took place in 2006 and early 2007.

Ms. Mahon confuses hard-level consensus reality with her (stated on the record) new age fantasy.

The story presented by Ms. Mahon is pure fiction.

Agent X does not exist.

There is no Mars mission colony.

Ms. Mahon is the granddaughter of President Eisenhower.

[Correction: This was intended to read "Ms. Mahon is the great-granddaughter of President Eisenhower"]

Ms. Eisenhower is motivated to use her story for commercial purposes.

[Comment added: We have seen no evidence at this time to support Mr. Dell's statement concerning Ms. Mahon's motivations.]

Although we applaud Mr. Dell for being so forthcoming by publicly identifying himself in this communication, we feel no need here to further muddy the water with allegations of character faults made by either side of this story.

Now, to the ground truth of the matter.

These are the elements of Ms. (Mahon) Eisenhower's story which have been vetted based upon our files, contacts, and sources (while attempting to adhere as much as possible to original confidential sources' agreements -- again, for the record, sourcing agreements "on background" prevent us from revealing all aspects of this story):

At some point in 2005 and in 2006, an associate of Mr. Dell attempted on numerous occasions to elicit from us information concerning our key sources and contacts, specifically persons of interest known to have worked or be working for the CIA. This person represented the reason behind his interest as "a science fiction screenplay." To the best of our knowledge, this was merely a ruse used to elicit information and obtain background information. This was reported to our intelligence contacts.

In December 2006, this person advised that Dr. Hal Puthoff was Mr. Dell's "science advisor."

On April 4, 2006, STARstream Research was contacted concerning an alleged incident involving a bizarre deer mutilation discovery not far from Charlottesville. According to the report, contact with the mutilated bodies induced odd physical side effects. The details concerning the deer mutilation were passed to a forensic expert contracted to the US government, who, to paraphrase, accepted the description as "valid" and "compelling."

According to our files, the idea of a Mars mission, which was reported by Ms. Eisenhower, fell out of a concept development strategy and did initially include "Mars colony" and a target date of 2012.

It is also clear that the above goal was intended to add urgency to a funding effort with the goal of overcoming the enormous soft-side technical obstacles for missions to the moon and Mars; a prerequisite for any genuine (and far more expensive) effort to build and test actual hardware.

In the interest of disclosure, it is necessary to reveal that STARstream Research was offered inside information over encrypted email channels, including an offer to determine the origin of Mr. Ingo Swann's black-ops character (from his book Penetration, known by the pseudonym "Mr. Axelrod." It was also strongly suggested that we would be or were being tested to determine our trustworthiness.

(Another item of interest: In June of 2006, during the time frame mentioned by Ms. Eisenhower, my neighbor reported to me strange activity involving a man who would park "way down the block" and then watch my home. Following this report, our garbage container disappeared, only to mysterious reappear days later, in the middle of our back yard. Later, a computer printout of the golf courses in the Twin Cities metro area produced  "unsuspecting space aliens" stamped over the location of the golf course nearest to my residence.  We were advised that our computers had been compromised. This presented an opportunity to plant bogus information on our systems as sticky bait for the alleged hackers.)

Regarding the esteemed Dr. Harold Puthoff: it is true that Dr. Puthoff did conduct top secret research into the use of the human mind for the CIA and other government agencies and services. It is also true that the funding for some of the initial research in this area came from Sidney Gottlieb at the Technical Services Division of the CIA. Mr. Gottlieb is infamously known for his role in the CIA's use of unwitting civilians during the MKULTRA project. Some of that work did involve human use violations including drugging of unwitting individuals with LSD.

However, beyond the funding connection mentioned above, there is no evidence on the record that Dr. Puthoff has been involved in black operations as described (and any such operation would violate human use guidelines established in the 1980s).

Dr. Puthoff is known to be investigating "fringe" topics: primarily the potential to extract energy from the quantum vacuum. According to the official file record here, this topic has been monitored extensively by the international intelligence community.

STARstream Research has previously reported unconfirmed and un-vetted rumors of the use of psychic sources and possibly persons who have reported alien abduction experiences, allegedly related to obtaining "UFO" technology. The implication coming from the reported rumors is that the Intelligence Community is interested in the psychology of altered states of consciousness, and may now have added the use of fMRI and other means of monitoring the human brain as part of their research. If this is true, it would be consistent with past intelligence agency activities and reports and documentation we have received from a Chinese source in Beijing, who had also been approached on a related topic.

In the interest of disclosure, I must add that STARstream Research was passively involved in arranging for the above mentioned relationship.

Our Chinese source provided documentation that the research in question, involving quantum perception and registration of brain to brain communication using fMRI, would be a joint cooperative venture, funded by the US government, and would involve, to quote, "The Puthoff Institute" in Austin Texas.

[In a communication to STARstream Research on 3/15/2010, an American researcher familiar with the proposed Chinese experiment advised it was part of a shared US Academy of Sciences effort. However, according to other sources and our files, the same researcher identified Dr. Puthoff as a principle, and identified his facility in Austin Texas, regarding the proposed experiment. To clarify our position in this small matter: we are here concerned not with any real project or secret but with discovery of the ideas behind the expose' made public by Ivy Linn (Ki' Lia) and Ms. Mahon.]

In a report commissioned by The National Research Council on "Emerging Cognitive Neuroscience," it is reported that "Richard McNally and his collaborators" had studied persons reporting alien abduction experiences. Described as likely due to "false memories" originating with "sleep paralysis" and "hynopompic hallucinations," most of the persons reporting these experiences had "physiological reactions...similar to those seen in PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) patients who had listened to audio-taped scripts of their traumas."

The report cites this in the context of false memory syndrome and the technical problem, including the use of fMRI machines, to determine if a memory is of a real event or an imagined experience.

Apart from the standard need for confidentiality, there is absolutely no reason to believe any of the above mentioned research should be viewed as "nefarious activity" on the part of a deep secret black operation.

It does remain a possibility, this suggested by other government sources, that there might exist deep black operations who have had at their disposal technologies twenty, thirty, or more years in advance of the private efforts we are reporting on here.

One source even suggested this as an explanation for the phantasmagorical reports of strange phenomena at Skinwalker Ranch in Utah.

[Comment added: All of the above suggests, in a very background sense, that certain ideas promoted by Mr. Dell strongly influenced Ms. Eisenhower and her friend Ki' Lia (Ivy Linn). The ideas range from esoteric metaphysical and new age constructions to real but undeveloped ideas for new technology to extreme science fiction inspired potential technologies. It is our position at this time only that misinterpreted ideas are being virally spread, largely by Internet communications. Further complicating this situation is the need for real threat assessment warnings and monitoring of technologically related information.]

In another curious twist to this tale, we received an email in November of 2005 from a man who identified himself as Ron Stahl.

Mr. Stahl explained to us that he had been developing a concept for a science fiction premise he intended to develop as a screenplay. Some of the elements within Mr. Stahl's premise are found in Ms. Eisenhower's account of events.

Mr. Stahl was later briefly involved with Mr. Dell; this reportedly after several months of inquiries Stahl made concerning US government persons and their associates involved with paranormal government activities.

A review of Mr. Stahl's premise, which he emailed to STARstream Research on November 29, 2005, includes the following plot points later found in Ms. Eisenhower's testimony (and other related materials mentioned in this article):

Identification of the year 2012, since the events of interest take place about "twenty years" after the "first Gulf War."

Like Ms. Eisenhower's claims, Stahl's story is built around CIA and "various other black ops."

Mr. Stahl's plot identifies the NASA "white world" deep planetary missions (read about the real NASA's Mars plans here) but his plot is focused on a top secret black budget covert planetary space force.

Mr. Stahl identifies the propulsion system used by his fictional spacecraft as the nuclear/electric propulsion systems which are also found in Mr. Dell's Mars mission concept papers.

Mr. Stahl's fictional tale involves a kidnapping by the rogue operation where the main character is "drawn into the world" of a "renegade black op paramilitary" group. He also suggested this group might need to steal "ET's time travel technology" in order to "return to [their] normal lives" and his characters would face "mind-bending psy-op stuff that makes the heroes wonder for their sanity."

It remains unknown if any of Mr. Stahl's fictional ideas were ever shared with Mr. Dell or his associates.

This remains a developing story.
